Walks in North West England
A largely rural region with an urban population to the south. It is best known for the Lake District National Park World Heritage Site, a mountainous landscape with a myriad of lakes. Other highlights of this region include parts of the Peak District & parts of the Yorkshire Dales National Parks, aswell as the Cumbrian Fells, Arnside / Silverdale, Solway Coast & the Forest of Bowland which are all AONB & the flat expanse of the Cheshire Plains.
